A LITTLE HISTORY ON HOW WE GOT STARTED....

The idea of organizing a new Corvette club started out with Jim Larson & Lee Carver talking about their favorite passion: The Chevrolet Corvette. Jim and Lee both knew a few other Corvette owners and felt there might be enough interest from all to start a new Corvette Club. So, through word-of-mouth advertising we held our first meeting in September 2007. During the October meeting officers were elected and in November we chose our name. By January 2008 we approved our logo and in February we registered with the State of Minnesota as a "non-profit corporation" under Chapter 317A.

Our club exists solely for the enjoyment of its members who are passionate about the Corvette brand. Membership in our Club is limited to owners and their immediate families, or prospective owners and their immediate families, of Chevrolet Corvettes, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. As a club we attend events, participate in parades, and take road trips.  Our emphasis is on Corvette cruising whenever possible. Members have enjoyed caravanning together to places like the National Corvette Museum & Assembly Plant, Lake Okoboji, the Black Hills, Bloomington Gold and Dennis Albaugh’s car museum at Ankeny, IA as well as shorter trips like our Fall Color Runs and cruises to tour several breweries in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

We look forward to cruising to many other destinations such as the Corvette Fun Fest, Iowa Speedway, the Indy 500 and many more....   Additionally, there are a few of us who enjoy competitive driving and going to car shows - no "Trailer Queens". We drive our Vettes with pride and let the sound of pure American muscle announce our entry.

Members are required to attend two (2) club functions annually. Our current annual dues are $50 per family.

Route 55 Corvette Cruisers’ (R55CC) monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month (with the exception of the month of December when we have no meeting).
